National Make Lunch Count Day
April 2023
In 2016, it was declared the 13th day of April is to be observed as the National Make Lunch Count Day in the United States annually. The move was put forward to relieve the U.S. workers of their increasing work pressure and realize the importance of having lunch breaks on time between their work hours.
Taking a break during the workday improves productivity. That includes lunch breaks. Leaving the office or even your desk for 20-30 minutes to refuel also helps to re-energize your creativity. Our brains and bodies need rest every day. When you come back, you will feel refreshed and ready for new ideas and approaches to whatever work comes your way.
